Your First Visit
The first step of the removable dental prosthesis procedure is a comprehensive initial consultation. During this visit, we will provide an assessment of your condition, examining your teeth, gums and jaw; we may take photographs and diagnostic records to obtain an accurate diagnosis and prognosis for your treatment.
Once we have obtained all necessary information, including your treatment goals, your dental prosthetist will clearly explain your options for dental prosthetic treatment and the range of treatment options available. Regarding any treatment options under consideration, there will be an in-depth discussion with you so that every aspect you should know about is thoroughly explained. An hour has been set aside to ensure there is ample time to answer all questions during this appointment.
Following the consultation, a detailed treatment plan is then provided to you detailing the cost and appointments needed for your procedure and what to expect throughout the entire process. If you have been referred to us by your dental or medical practitioner, a formal report will be sent to your referring GP or dentist.
This process is carried out in a logical, easy to understand, ethical and unpressured manner, so that you have as much time as needed to make the best decision for you.
What to bring
It would greatly assist us if you could provide the following before your arrival:
Referral letter (if applicable)
Mouth x-rays (if applicable)
Photos showing your natural teeth (if available)
Medication list from your medical practitioner (if available)
Dentures (if you are a current denture wearer, please bring to your appointment)
If we are able to receive these documents prior to your arrival, we can be better prepared and your clinical time is best utilised.
