What is SEMDC?

Shane Chambers has spent the past 10 years practicing Dr Abe’s Suction Denture Impression method, and completed Master Instructor training in the Suction Effective Mandibular Denture (SEMCD) technique under distinguished Professor Dr Jiro Abe, in Tokyo Japan. This experience enables him to both practice and teach these techniques, and combine them with BPS as well as the new Digital CAD and manufacturing process.

SEMCD is an innovative approach to denture design that results in a predictable and highly stable lower denture without the need for implants or even dental adhesives. Our dental prosthetist has trained in Japan in 2014 and 2018 by Dr Jiro Abe, a world leading clinican in the field of removable prosthodontics. Shane Chambers is the first and only instructor for this technique in North Queensland and his passion for providing his patients with quality prosthetic solutions for tooth loss has driven him to pursue the technique which consistently delivers successful outcomes with lower denture fit, function and stability.
